Welcome Players!
First of all, great job on stepping outside your comfort zone and entering this competition! You've already shown more courage than many of your peers who let their fear stop them from entering, and for that, we applaud you for stretching your limits!
As any seasoned player or judge will tell you, no matter how beautiful your work is, if you don't get the right photos, videos and backup submitted, you can leave precious points on the table, and just ONE POINT can make or break your entry!
Please be sure to refer to this Submission Guide frequently to ensure you have submitted ALL your elements, in the correct angles, so our awesome judging panel can properly assess your work. They can't judge what they can't see, so it's imperative that you submit a fully complete package that includes ALL the elements required.
PLAYER CHECKLIST
Make sure you complete ALL these checklist tasks before the submission deadline. These are meant to help you attain a higher score. (click on the BLUE ICON to jump to section with more information)
<< Click the ICON for information on how to watch the Infection Prevention & Control Educational Videos from BeautyPro Media (there will be a quiz that counts toward your final score)
<< Click the ICON to access the Infection Control Quiz. You can only take it ONCE, so don't access it (don't even click the link) until you have watched the IPAC Videos and are ready to take it, because it only lets you access it ONE TIME. For the love of all that's holy, don't use the "back" or "refresh" buttons until you are finished and have completely submitted your responses. It may lock you out. The Password is tsgipac
<< Click the ICON to download the TSG Model Release form. You'll need one for each Model.
<< Click the ICON to see what photo and video elements (angles, details) you need to submit for judging.
BeautyPro Media's IPAC Course
You will receive an email giving you free access to this online course ($97 value). There is a Quiz that will also be emailed to you that will count toward your final score for the TSG Lash Competition. This quiz is not the same as the IPAC Exam to get certified by us. That exam is completely optional and comes with an additional fee. While it may help your lash business to hold our IPAC Certificate, it will make absolutely no difference in your TSG Score or placement. If you have not received the access email by Jan 1, 2022, please post into the Players-Only FB Group and TAG Emily Chu-Lee.
Submission Guide
Remember, as fabulous as our Judges are, they can only assess what they can see. If you are missing key elements that show certain angles, or if the lighting or quality is too low or blurry, you will receive low or no marks for that judging criteria.
You'll need to submit a complete set of these photos/videos for each category you are entered in. If you are entered in one category more than once, you'll need to submit a complete package for each entry. Duplicate photos/videos cannot be submitted or used for more than one entry.
We realize that not all Players will have access to professional photography equipment, so most of the Submission Guide photos and videos were shot with a smart phone and a ring light. If you DO have access to professional equipment, you should definitely utilize it to get cleaner photos. Please remember that photography must be completed by you, the Player. If you need assistance with capturing yourself on video, this is the only exception. There should be ABSOLUTELY NO watermarks, logos, names, company names, music or speaking (nothing that can identify you) embedded, shown, or included on any of the submission elements.
We couldn't capture before photos of our "after" model because she came to us with extensions already on, applied by a local tech unknown to, and not affiliated with us. Please pretend our BEFORE model and AFTER model is the same person.

Before & Afters
The MODEL’S eye area must be completely free of all makeup, concealers, BB/CC creams, tinted moisturizers, foundations, etc. Any cosmetics applied to the face to even out skin tone MUST STOP at the orbital bone. Brow pencil is ok, but under brow highlight must not extend past the orbital bone. If in doubt, don’t use anything. FOR FANTASY, no makeup at all at this point. You'd take these particular angles before, then after lash application, but before your fantasy makeup application.
Absolutely NO filtering or photo manipulation (including spot cleaning, smoothing, adjusting contrast, lighting sharpness/detail/clarity, cloning, etc) Minor cropping is allowed, but basically, submit it direct from camera.
